El nuevo Gobierno italiano no va a prohibir el aborto ni el divorcio, mucho menos perseguirá al colectivo LGTBI
La decepción será insoportable cuando Giorgia Meloni no se comporte como la fascista que se espera de ella, sino como otra política canónica de la democracia italiana, donde la farsa populista marca el canon hace décadas. Los primeros decepcionados serán los antifascistas, cada vez más amenazados no por el avance del fascismo sino por la falta de lectores. Hay un progresista entrañable que necesita contarnos la vigencia de su lucha contra Mussolini, Hitler o Franco y sus inacabables reencarnaciones porque desea estar a la altura moral de su padre o de su abuelo, y de aquel cuento tan bonito de gendarmes y fascistas y estudiantes con flequillo. Pero mientras esta izquierda enganchada al jaco de la memoria pierde el tiempo en los talleres narrativos del gastado género de la distopía, la derecha se dedica a ganar elecciones.
Después de decepcionar a los partisanos más fogosos con el aquietamiento inexorable a los fajos de Bruselas, Meloni procederá a defraudar minuciosamente a los hermanos patriotas. Porque Meloni es fascista en la misma medida en que Raffaella Carrà era comunista. A la espera del tuit concernido de Bergoglio, podemos tranquilizar desde ya a Su Santidad: el nuevo Gobierno no va a prohibir el aborto ni el divorcio, mucho menos perseguirá al colectivo LGTBI -buena parte del PIB italiano-, y preservará la mala salud de hierro de la familia cristiana de la cual la propia primera ministra es un tormentoso ejemplo. En cuanto a la nostalgia de la lira, no confundamos los antojos de hotel de una prima donna con su voluntad real de mudarse a los Urales.
Lo probable es que Meloni disfrute de sus dos años de legislatura -siendo generosos- chupando cámara, al término de los cuales será puntualmente derribada por el enésimo biscotto en el seno de una coalición que no puede estirarse más de lo que permita el caucho facial de don Berlusconi. Ahora bien, la lección está ahí para quien quiera extraerla. Meloni ha ganado porque a la gente le gusta que su voto sirva para algo, sobre todo para protestar. Ella encarnaba la protesta contra Draghi, demasiado civilizado para la audiencia, y pronto emergerá alguien frente al cual Meloni parecerá una tecnócrata tediosa. El espectáculo debe continuar. Pero si la izquierda aspira a terciar en el ya hegemónico combate europeo entre centroderecha y nacionalpopulismo, debería dejar de abroncar al votante pobre que no entiende la jerga autorreferencial y paternalista con que pretende salvarlo una casta de pijos incapaces de disimular el desprecio que sienten por el pueblo real. Y luego que por qué gana la derecha.
