El Ayuntamiento ha convocado una reunión abierta a cualquier ciudadano dispuesto a colaborar.

El Ayuntamiento de Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real), a través de la Concejalía de Medio Ambiente, va a poner en marcha un programa para la gestión ética de las colonias felinas en el municipio.
Según ha explicado el concejal, Pablo Pichaco, se trata de una iniciativa que pretende equilibrar varios factores aplicando criterios de interés general municipales en un contexto de salud pública compatible con el bienestar animal. Factores como dar cumplimiento a la Ordenanza Municipal de Limpieza que prohíbe alimentar a los animales en la vía pública -pueden provocar problemas de insalubridad y convivencia entre vecinos-, atender las sensibilidades de aquellas personas que sufren por la situación muchas veces precaria de gatos abandonados a los que cuidan, así como velar para que las colonias de gatos no afecten a especies silvestres y el medio natural colindante.
Y es que, según ha informado, se ha detectado crías de cerceta, gallineta o patos azulones depredados por gatos en el Parque Alces o de cercetas pardillas en el Complejo Lagunar.
Para conseguir ese equilibrio, ha incidido el concejal, la Dirección General de Derechos de los Animales ha marcado las pautas para la puesta en marcha de la gestión ética de las colonias de gatos, se han venido manteniendo reuniones con Animalcázar y con la dirección de Espacios Naturales protegidos de la provincia de Ciudad Real para abordar la situación respecto a la cerceta partidilla.
Para la gestión de estas colonias se ha convocado una reunión abierta a cualquier ciudadano dispuesto a colaborar o gestionar una colonia felina, para el próximo jueves 29 de septiembre en el Centro Cívico. Intervendrá vía telemática un representante de la Dirección General de Derechos de los Animales. Será necesario inscripción previa hasta el día 28 de septiembre inclusive, en el siguiente correo: coloniasfelinas@aytoalcazar.es incluyendo el nombre y el correo electrónico para recibir la información si es diferente del que se usa para la inscripción.
