La residencia de la Federación de Fútbol de Castilla-La Mancha continúa siendo un recurso que facilita la realización en Alcázar de San Juan de todo tipo de eventos. Uno de ellos está previsto para el 1 de octubre, cuando la Asociación de Ex Árbitros de fútbol y fútbol sala realizarán su segunda jornada de convivencia, después de la paralización de actividades provocada por la pandemia.
Desde su inauguración, a principios del verano, ha servido como alojamiento para equipos, campus formativos y deportistas (como muchos participantes de la carrera Titán de La Mancha). Como señaló el presidente del Instituto Municipal de Deportes, Javier Ortega, hay motivos para que la ciudad sea lo que es en el ámbito deportivo, como esta residencia y la concentración de buenas instalaciones que tiene cerca.
El presidente de esta asociación, que integra a 40 antiguos árbitros, Carlos Aranda acompañado por el presidente del Instituto Municipal de Deportes, Javier Ortega, y el vicepresidente de la Diputación de Provincial de Ciudad Real, David Triguero, adelantaron la programación de este encuentro del sábado 1 de octubre, en el que se realizará la asamblea anual de la asociación y se han previsto varios coloquios y actividades deportivas, además de exposiciones fotográficas.
La asociación está formada mayoritariamente por antiguos árbitros de futbol y, en menor medida de fútbol sala, muchos de ellos formados a finales de los años 90, pero que quieren seguir implicados en el mundo del arbitraje y del deporte.
