Incluidos en el Plan INVEAT
Se trata de alta tecnología sanitaria, con una inversión que supera los 1,5 millones de euros, para sustituir los equipos antiguos y ampliar la cartera de Radiología Intervencionista para el abordaje mínimamente invasivo de patología vascular, neurovascular y oncológica.
El Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha, a través del Servicio de Salud de Castilla-La Mancha (SESCAM), ha adjudicado por un importe superior a 1,5 millones de euros la adquisición de dos nuevos angiógrafos vasculares y neurovasculares para los hospitales de Ciudad Real y Alcázar de San Juan.
Un equipamiento de alta tecnología sanitaria, cuya adquisición se enmarca en el Plan INVEAT impulsado por el Ministerio de Sanidad y que forma parte de los programas incluidos en el Plan de Recuperación y Resiliencia.
Con esta adjudicación se completa el proceso para renovar los equipos ya existentes de forma que se palíe la obsolescencia tecnológica existente hasta el momento en ambos hospitales con equipos que superaban los diez años de vida útil recomendada.
Los nuevos equipos aumentan la calidad de imagen y reducen la radiación, tanto para el paciente como para los profesionales que trabajan en la sala. Se trata de la tecnología más avanzada que aumenta la eficacia del proceso acortando los tiempos de realización de la prueba, de forma que se reducen los tiempos de exposición a la radiación tanto para el paciente como para el profesional.
Importante mejora en Alcázar de San Juan
La incorporación de esta nueva tecnología supondrá para el Área Integrada de Alcázar de San Juan una notable mejora de las prestaciones, ya que, según ha afirmado el jefe del Servicio de Radiología del Hospital Mancha Centro, el doctor Javier González-Spínola, “el anterior equipo multifunción se ha quedado obsoleto”.
“Supone una continuidad en la atención a los pacientes que requieran atención intervencionista. El nuevo equipo permite todo tipo de exploraciones vasculares e intervencionismo con una menor cantidad de dosis aplicada y una mejor resolución anatómica”, ha detallado el doctor González-Spínola.
En definitiva, la versatilidad de la nueva dotación permitirá seguir atendido las mismas patologías e incluir procedimientos diagnósticos e intervencionistas vasculares hasta ahora limitados.
La puesta en funcionamiento de esta moderna tecnología lleva consigo la formación de todo el personal que va a trabajar con el nuevo angiógrafo. Los servicios implicados en el uso de esta nueva tecnología son: Radiología, Neurología, Aparato Digestivo y Anestesia.
Las herramientas que incorpora el nuevo software “permiten ampliar la cartera de servicios ya que se incluyen prestaciones que no podían realizarse en los equipos antiguos”. Se trata de procedimientos mínimamente invasivos que evitan, en muchas ocasiones, abordajes quirúrgicos más agresivos, tal y como ha subrayado el doctor Antonio Pinar, radiólogo intervencionista del Hospital General Universitario de Ciudad Real.
Para la realización de estas intervenciones, cuya estancia media del paciente no supera las 24 horas, se utilizan técnicas de imagen guiada. “Se utiliza, por ejemplo, para el tratamiento de patología tumoral ósea, de hígado o tiroides entre otras, mediante agujas que se introducen en la lesión y conectadas a un generador de radiofrecuencia o microondas se realiza la ablación del tumor”, ha explicado Pinar.
De esta forma, con una mínima incisión se realiza un abordaje complejo, evitando ingresos prolongados y secuelas en la recuperación del paciente, ha subrayado el especialista.
